I choose to do a still life and ironically is is the skull of a long dead sheep.
Sketched on ordinary sketch paper. I figured I would give drawing a skull a whirl... I am pleased with the end results.
The actual skull I bought at a church sale a number of years ago for only 5 cents.
***Note*** In order to get it to look like it did on paper I had to use level adjustments in Photoshop. Still the scanner managed to lose a bit of detail.
